Legal Services of Northern Virginia is the largest legal aid organization in Northern Virginia, assisting thousands of clients in civil matters each year. We work closely with other legal aid organizations, state and local bar associations, and the courts to serve low-income and neediest populations in the region. We provide services related to consumer law, seniors` rights, family law, housing law, public services, children`s advocacy and education law, veterans` rights project, and reintegration and community return support. Eligibility for our services is determined by our federal, state, local and private funders. In order for us to determine if we can help you, you must be verified for eligibility. During this brief interview, a member of our admissions team will gather demographic information, including information on household size, income, and wealth, perform a required conflict of interest check, and receive a brief description of your issue. LSNV`s mission is to serve people who, without legal assistance, lose a critical human need: food, shelter, income, medical care or personal safety. Some of the areas of non-criminal cases are elder law, consumer law, labour law, family law, housing law and public services. Legal Services of Northern Virginia (LSNV) provides legal services in certain civil matters to people with limited incomes. Staff also help with public services and living wills such as powers of attorney, living wills, etc.
