Legal King of Poland
Um, if Jeebus is king and Mary is queen, does that mean he should shake his mother? The Ptolemies (Cleopatra) naturally dealt with such a thing. But they lived at that time (but not necessarily very long). This may seem figurative, but in fact it can be tedious. Since the king and queen cannot speak for themselves, elected officials and appointed officials who have wanted to do so can naturally say that they channel the will of their sovereign when they make laws. That is, they can push their political agenda while saying that this is what Jesus and Mary want. An earlier attempt by right-wing MPs in 2006 failed because the Church itself opposed it. Archbishop Tadeusz Pieronek, a member of the Polish episcopate and rector of the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Krakow, said at the time: “Christ does not need a parliamentary decision to be the king of our hearts.” Last month, Poland crowned Jesus Christ king (though the coronation didn`t technically specify what he was king of). Functionally and legally, this decision does not change the functioning of the Polish constitution or government. But neither was it an empty gesture to protest the way Poland is being run – among the participants in the coronation in Krakow was Polish President Andrzej Duda. All Christians, of course, recognize Jesus as Lord. But this statement is no more valid in Poland after this coronation than the day before. The kingdom of God, needless to say, will never be synonymous with a single nation-state.
This coronation is a declaration, but not of the strength of Christian Europe, quite the contrary. It only reveals the siege mentality that puts force everywhere. I think we can allow early modern kings like Jan Kazimierz to do such an action – after all, there was a war with Sweden at the time. But really, the 21st century??? After the death of Emperor Otto III (1002), Bolesław conquered the imperial lands of Lusatia and Misnia (Meissen) as well as the principality of Bohemia. These actions began a series of three wars between him and the German King Henry II, which lasted until 1018, when Bolesław retained Lusatia and Misnia by the Treaty of Bautzen and Henry II won Bohemia. Bolesław`s expansionist policy continued. When he defeated Grand Duke Yaroslav I the Wise of Kiev in battle (21. In July 1018) and his own son-in-law (and Yaroslav`s brother), Sviatopolk, on whom the throne of Kiev was placed, his reign extended from the western tributaries of the Middle Elbe to the eastern foothills of the Bug. Although Bolesław was recognized as sovereign by Otto III in 1000, he tried to strengthen his position and independence from imperial control with his coronation approved by the pope by the Archbishop of Gniezno on December 25, 1024. Oooo, it`s so exactly: “Well, look inside from the outside…
For many, the ceremony was in response to the prayers of Polish nurse Rosalia Zelkova, who said in the early 20th century that her country would one day have a divine revelation that Jesus is king. The first known Polish ruler was Duke Mieszko I, who adopted Christianity under the authority of Rome in 966. He was succeeded by his son Bolesław I. the brave, who greatly expanded the borders of the Polish state and reigned as the first king in 1025. From the following centuries emerged the powerful Piast dynasty, consisting of both kings such as Mieszko II Lambert, Przemysł II or Władysław I.dem Ellenhohen and dukes such as Bolesław III of the Rhine. The dynasty ceased to exist with the death of Casimir III .dem Great in 1370. In the same year, the Capetian House of Anjou became the reigning house with Louis I as King of Poland and Hungary. His daughter Jadwiga later married Jogaila, the pagan Grand Duke of Lithuania, who was baptized in 1386 and crowned as Władysław II Jagiełło, thus creating the Jagiellonian dynasty and a personal union between Poland and Lithuania.
After a vote in the Polish Parliament in April, our Lord Jesus Christ was officially crowned King of Poland last weekend. You may think you accidentally landed on a fake news site, but you didn`t. That`s right, Jesus really rules Poland now. The idea originally came from a young nurse who had a vision in the early 1900s that predicted Poland`s imminent demise if Jesus Christ was not crowned king. The idea was initially rejected by the clergy, but after more than a century of uncertainty, it finally came to fruition this week. Now, to be honest, this is only partially true – there is no legal act declaring Jesus “King of Poland.” It was a religious ceremony attended by many politicians (including the president) but did not influence the political system (so Poland is not part of the 😉 monarchy). Always silly. In this regard, it is only the last focal point in the difficult formation of church-state relations in the post-communist era.
There is no doubt that the Catholic Church in Poland still has considerable cultural power. In this communist era, he recalled a national identity against Russian oppression – especially in the person of John Paul II. The recent World Youth Day provides a lasting sense of strength. Anyway, we all owe King Jan Sobieski much more than King Yeshue bar Yusef. The first impulse for the move came from Polish nurse Rosalia Zelkova, who claimed to have received divine revelation in the early 20th century that Jesus was going to become king. In a ceremony at the Church of Divine Mercy in Krakow last week, Jesus was proclaimed King of Poland. Poland has been ruled at different times either by dukes and princes (10th to 14th century) or by kings (11th to 18th centuries). During the last period, a tradition of free choice of monarchs made it a unique eligible position in Europe (16th to 18th century). I am not making this up. According to Christian Today and confirmed by my Polish friend Malgorzata, the Polish government has just accepted Jesus Christ as King of the country: He was born as the sixth child of Stanisław Poniatowski, a Polish nobleman, and his wife, Princess Konstancja Czartoryska.
After a careful education, he traveled throughout Western Europe in his youth. In 1757, he was sent to St. Petersburg by his mother`s extremely powerful family to gain Russian support for their plan to dethrone the Polish King Augustus III. During his stay at the Russian court, he apparently did little for the interests of the family, but managed to become the lover of the future Empress Catherine II. Can the pope stop this, turn the situation around? Would he? It is a very complex issue. What would the pope really stop? If they don`t break the rules of the Church, what basis would there be to stop or undo anything? What a (supposedly) secular society does is its own business. If the Pope blesses this theatrical ruse, it is up to him to decide. The devout Catholic wouldn`t have to give a fuck anyway. Does this mean that all Poles can now walk on water? Do you really believe that this thing will be something that will offer absolution to all Poles? You do not have to be or have been Catholic not to see how the mechanism of guilt works in the Church, to ask for it. This is the crucial context for Jesus` coronation. Poland is in good shape in this area. In 1656, John II Casimir (Jan II Kazimierz Waza) crowned the Virgin Mary Queen of Poland.
Nor is it the first time that 21st century Poland has made itself a king. A movement to crown Jesus has its roots in a nurse`s vision in the 1900s that Poland would fall without Jesus as king. This led to a campaign in 2006 led by a number of parliamentarians, but which failed due to a lack of support from both parliament and a rather lukewarm church. The real problem is that it is the bishops who interpret the will of this “king” and tell everyone what to do – as they do now. Bolesław I, nickname Bolesław the Brave, Polish: Bolesław Chrobry (966/967; † 17th century) He was the first king of Poland (from 992) and then (from 1024) the first king of Poland, who expanded his territory to include Pomerania, Lusatia and temporarily the princely lands of Bohemia. He made Poland a great European state and also created a Polish church independent of German control. In my opinion, such mass deception is no joke, no matter how much it may seem to those of us who are not infected with religion. In 2010, a city in Poland built the tallest Jesus in the world (taller than the one facing Rio de Janeiro) and unlike the one in RdJ, he has a crown, and in fact the statue bears the title of “Christ the King”. i.ytimg.com/vi/-GVxOt9HmXE/hqdefault.jpg The son of Mieszko I, the first of the Piast dukes, and the Bohemian princess Dobrawa (Dubravka), Bolesław I, inherited the principality of Wielkopolska (Wielkopolska, between the Oder and the Warta) after his father`s death in 992. Soon he began to develop and expand the Polish state through vigorous political and military actions. He conquered Pomerania on the Baltic Sea in 996 and soon conquered Kraków (former possession of Bohemia). He bought the relics of the martyr Saint Adalbert, bishop of Prague, from the pagan Prussians and buried the relics at Gniezno.
The Roman emperor Otto III, who had been a pupil of Adalbert and ally of Bolesław since 992, took part in this ceremony (March 1000) and personally honored Bolesław as ruler of Poland.
