Welcome Thank you for your interest in the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. We are looking for students from diverse backgrounds with the potential to succeed in law school and become active members of the legal community. The admission decision is based primarily on the applicant`s motivation and intellectual capacity, as demonstrated by the bachelor`s certificate, and on his or her ability to study law, as measured by the LSAT. The admissions committee also attempts to determine the applicant`s level of motivation by examining personal experiences that indicate determination, patience and perseverance. The Committee considers past successes in combating economic and/or educational disadvantage to be an important indicator of motivation. This school does not offer conditional scholarships.
